Fall Lessons Begin on Saturday September 11th and 12th at
Northeastern University Diving Lessons offer a fun, friendly learning environment using safety harnesses. At BAD, we use hand spotting to accelerate correct techniques on many drills. There are typically at least two college-level coaches on deck for each lesson. Boston Area Diving will offer its next series of springboard diving lessons beginning on Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12th. Younger divers will dive from 10:30 AM to 12 PM and older divers from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. Lessons will be held at Northeastern University on Huntington Avenue in Boston. For each group, the first half of the lesson will be in the training room featuring a trampoline, dry board and spring floor. The second half of the class will be offered in the pool which features a separate diving well with three diving boards, a safety harness over the 1 meter and a TiVo system for video viewing of their dives. Our new training room is ideal setting for beginners as well as experienced divers. Divers are able to learn and try new dives in a safety harness before trying them in the pool. Our instructors for diving lessons are local college coaches with decades of experience. Our staff includes coaches from Boston College, Babson College and Northeastern University. All coaching is individualized so divers are welcome to start at any time. To sign up for lessons, please contact Joe Chirico at (617) 233-4837 or email at Joe@goBAD.com. When you arrive for your first lesson you will be asked to fill out a release. You should also plan to bring shorts and a t-shirt, as well as your bathing suit. Parents are welcome to watch the diving lessons from the bleachers. FAQs
